Infos/Activities

Nestled in the Selkirk Range, between Mt. Revelstoke National Park and Glacier National Park, Revelstoke Mountain Resort is a modern community that is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, and developing into one of British Columbia’s all season playgrounds.

At present, Revelstoke Mountain Resort has 3,121 acres of terrain,  75 runs & areas and a vast off-piste terrain to explore as well as a near certainty of deep powder conditions. Revelstoke Mountain Resort is probably best suited to advanced, intermediate skiers and snowboarders and heli-skiing packages are available too.

The nearest international airport is at Kelowna. Direct flights between there and Britain or Europe mainland are currently under discussion, avoiding a transfer flight from Calgary or Vancouver. As climatic conditions elsewhere become more marginal, the future of Revelstoke Mountain Resort seems assured.

The 2010/2011 season brought a number of new resort facilities, two new area boundaries, the cutting of a new lift line and a continued buzz surrounding the resort. Revelstoke Mountain Resort boosts North America's highest Lift-Serviced Vertical (1,713m) and is the only resort worldwide to offer lift, cat, heli and backcountry skiing from one village base.

In spring and autumn holidaymakers shouldn't miss the opportunity to explore a place of magical contrast - Mount Revelstoke National. Take a drive along the Meadows in the Sky parkway through a variety of geographical zones. From dense old-growth rainforest of giant cedars and pine trees, travel up through Sub-Alpine forests, and finally Alpine meadows and tundra. Marvel at the spectacular view of the ice-clad peaks of the Monashee Mountains and, to the east, the Selkirk Mountains. The Giant Cedars hiking trail takes you through a stand of ancient Western Red Cedars, and the Skunk Cabbage trail introduces you to jungle-like wetland, a birds paradise.
