Description

Chalet Perla is a luxury holiday chalet in Cortina d'Ampezzo. This outstanding large-group Alpine chalet is a hymn to Italian design, to its own outstanding locale, and to luxury living and the best materials. An indoor pool and sauna will chill you out, while clever design and roaring fires - backed with the best tech - keep you warm, cozy and entertained. Chalet Perla is part of The Village, an exclusive, private, highly secure enclave of outstanding Alpine chalets sharing 7,000 square-meters of green space, including a soccer pitch. Outside is the super-chic Via Menardi area, one of the most sought-after locations anywhere in the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Dolomites.

Located in the priciest area in Cortina, the renowned Via Menardi, the village and its chalets overlook the famous "Passeggiata", enjoying a spectacular view of the high peaks of Mount Cristallo, Faloria, Cinque Torri and Tofane. Chalet Perla itself is sizeable, with a 900 square-metre footprint over four floors, with a big basement spa, private cinema, and six suites to accommodate a party of up to twelve guests. Clothed in wood and presenting a classic Alpine chalet exterior, inside Chalet Perla is a beautifully designed luxury haven. The living room sets the scene: filling its space with elegant Italian furniture, soft rugs on hardwood floors, and super comfortable seating for all of the chalet’s guests.

A place by the fire might be the central focus, though time at the bar stools or watching a big screen TV is also on the menu. Dining is at a giant table, under feature lighting, served from a superb hi-tech kitchen. If there is a design theme to the rest of the chalet it is gently Japanese, with orchids, Bonsai trees, and Hokusai-style art among the beautiful art collection. The materials though - marble, hard wood - are very local. That works particularly well in the spa and wellness area, where a classic Scandinavian-style sauna, sunken pool, and gymnasium don’t sacrifice an ounce of style or luxury to their functions. You can also chill out in a superbly appointed cinema room, or its neighboring games room, and entertainment tech runs throughout the chalet.

The bedrooms are individually styled and have a lot of space in which to lie back and relax. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, fireplace and walk-in closet. There are four en-suite double rooms, and a guest bedroom for two, also with its own en-suite bathroom. All of the bathrooms have Jacuzzi baths, power showers, and relaxation space. The family Chalet Perla is one of a small and exclusive group of luxury mountain properties that enjoy the very best setting in the Dolomites ski resort of Cortina d’Ampezzo.

Infos/Activities

Cortina d'Ampezzo is the leading resort of the Dolomite Region; in fact, the leading resort of the Italian Alps. Stylish, chic, and located in a magnificent mountain range, whose summits are crowned by dramatic rock formations, this historic village has turned into one of the classiest and costliest of all European ski resorts. Discover our luxury catered and self-catered chalets in Cortina d'Ampezzo. They offer swimming pools, hot tubs, cinema- and steam rooms and much more.

For blue bloods and just plain rich Italians, Cortina has long been the resort of choice, so this is the place where you'll see furs and Ferraris, Rolexes and Maseratis. Even if the town is crowded, the slopes might be relatively empty, because nearly three-quarters of the winter guests come for clean air, sunshine, and shopping rather than skiing. In lively Cortina, dining, shopping, walking the poodle, or languishing over an espresso is as much a part of the scene as skiing and snowboarding.

Cortina d'Ampezzo is a wonderful resort in the heart of the Dolomites with the most dramatic scenery. There is a good quantity of well-maintained slopes; marvellous nursery slopes, good long runs for intermediates and access to the vast Dolomiti Superski area which offers 120km of pistes.

Since the 2019/20 ski season there's a new 10-seater - replacing a 50-year-old cable car to reach the Tofana-Socrepes area with 47km of pistes. The Faloria-Cristallo area with 44km of pistes can be reached by a two-stage cable car. You also have easy access by bus or car to the Cinque Torri-Lagazuoi - 17km distance to Cortina - with 29km of runs.
