Chalet Des Cristaux / Chamonix
Pool: 1
Living Area: 350 m2
Description
Chalet Des Cristaux in Chamonix is a one-of-a-kind holiday home at the foot of Mont Blanc. The luxury chalet, which is also available for summer holidays, is situated within an easy walk of Les Houches ski area, offering a captivating Alpine experience for up to ten guests across its four bedrooms.
It boasts an indoor swimming pool with accompanying bar and lounge areas, an outdoor jacuzzi set amidst a scenic garden offering breathtaking mountain views, a unique sauna housed in a separate "mazot" or small chalet, and a generous cinema and playroom equipped with a PlayStation and arcade games. A notable feature of the swimming pool is its adaptable hydraulic floor, enabling customization of depth or conversion into a dance floor, providing ideal entertainment options post-dinner.
Spread over 3 floors and with 350sqm it is decorated with exquisite taste and style. Special attention has been given to lighting all through the chalet and this contributes to creating the right ambiances all through the day. The large living room with its 5 metres high vaulted ceiling houses an imposing central fireplace with a traditional wood constructed hood, a 4-side see-through foyer and a Mont Blanc granite stone base. Its large bay windows let a lot of natural light in and give an even more impressive sense of space, allowing different atmospheres that change with the different times of the day. After a day on the slopes, the living area becomes the perfect spot for family gatherings, where one can unwind with a glass of wine before dinner. The carefully chosen textiles that dress up the place are made of exquisite wool, felt and assorted linen, harmoniously matching the overall decor.
The space is completed with spectacular furnishing and accessories. Nothing was spared in terms of technology and the underfloor heating that self-regulates itself in the whole chalet largely contributes to the overall feeling of comfort offered by this unique property. Next to the living room is a dedicated media/TV room with large TV screen. Teenagers will also enjoy rediscovering arcade games on the Neo Legend terminal (arcade 2.0) or the many classic board games or even play a game on the football table.
The dining area has a large table made of oak and stone, placed in the continuity of a kitchen island, allowing to configure the space in many ways. There again, all was well studied and the fully equipped kitchen is discrete, functional and beautiful at the same time, offering an amazing space for your private chef to prepare your favourite meals.
All bedrooms are set in a modern decor of wood and local stone, inspired by the mountains, with custom-made furniture in the same spirit. Each bedroom has its own TV, private shower room and Japanese toilet. Towels, bathrobes and shower products are at your disposal for your comfort.
On the ground level, a spacious room overlooking the garden greets you. Initially resembling a tranquil lounge area with decorative Buddhas from Cambodia, inviting pouffes, and a small bar, it transforms seamlessly into an immersive experience. A fully glazed section, complete with dynamic sounds and lights, unfolds into a dance floor for lively party evenings. Press a button, and the surprise reaches its zenith as the dance floor vanishes, revealing an adjustable-depth swimming pool (with depths up to 1.80m) equipped with a current swimming system.
Venturing outdoors, direct access leads you to a Nordic hot tub—an ideal relaxation haven for soothing muscles after a day in the mountains. Adjacent to it stands an independent "mazot" (small chalet), housing a sauna with cutting-edge equipment.
In essence, Chalet des Cristaux distinguishes itself as a distinctive luxury holiday retreat in the French Alps, providing an exceptional experience for families. Situated at the foot of Mont-Blanc, this chalet guarantees an unforgettable mountain escape, be it amidst the enchanting winter or the lively summer seasons.

The valley is consistently rated as one of the top ten ski areas in the world and a must by all ski enthusiasts.
LUXURY SKI HOLIDAYS IN CHAMONIX
Majestic Mont Blanc, one of the world’s natural wonders dominates the area. Chamonix is an ancient mountain town with a stylish atmosphere and a blend of French charm, varied skiing and modern facilities that few other Alpine resorts can match. People return time after time and always discover something new.
The ski resort Chamonix with its pedestrianized cobbled streets and squares, beautiful buildings and fast running river has an excellent choice of quality shops, boutiques, cafes, bars, restaurants, clubs, casino and a Saturday market that should not be missed. Chamonix offers a wide range of outdoor activities; from skiing and snowboarding to hiking and biking, and much more.
Chamonix is also a mecca for mountaineering and climbing. The skiing resort has an attractive, bustling old town centre, and the smaller, quieter ski villages of Argentière, Les Houches and Vallorcine offer a different style of resort life.
Around 5pm, the Après-Ski starts with many options, such as the Chambre Neuf Bar, the Jekyll and Hyde pub, Bar du Moulin, La Cantina and the bar d’UP. Very popular bars are Folie Douce, Elevation 1904 where you can have cocktails, you also will find a huge selection of beers. From a culinary point of view, Chamonix is not a blank slate either. Enjoy a menu at the Atmosphere restaurant in the city centre (traditional Savoyard cuisine) or be seduced by the Italian delicacies of the Tuscan chef Auro Bucci at the L'Impossible restaurant.
The undisputed best restaurant in Chamonix is the Michelin-starred restaurant Albert 1er. We also recommend dining at restaurant Le Sérac (1 Michelin star) in Saint-Gervais-les-Bains, only 13 kilometres distance to Chamonix.
SKIING IN CHAMONIX
The legendary skiing caters for every taste and ability. Some 90% of the ski area is above 2,000 metres with an excellent snow record and a long season from December to May. It is home of the 24 kilometres Vallée Blanche and the famous Kandahar World Cup downhill runs. The lift pass - which covers 750 kilometres of pisted skiing - includes the elegant Italian ski resort of Courmayeur that is a short hop through the Mont Blanc tunnel.
The Chamonix Valley is approximately 20 kilometers long, from Les Houches to Le Tour, with the Aiguilles Rouges mountain range on the north side, and the Mont Blanc mountain range on the south side, which includes Mont Blanc itself, the highest peak in the Alps at 4,810 metres. The highest lift in the valley is the Aiguille De Midi cable car which brings you to an incredible 3,842 metres elevation. The top station of the Aiguille De Midi cable car has a spectacular panorama of Chamonix, the Mont Blanc, the Mer De Glace glacier, the surrounding area, and is the access point to high elevation skiing and climbing routes in the Mont Blanc mountain range, including the legendary, world famous Vallée Blanche.
The ski area has beginner slopes, off-piste and long downhill runs for experienced skiers as well as deep powder snow in difficult terrain. The slopes from Grands Montets to Brévent are unique. You can explore 10 ski areas with the Mont Blanc Unlimited ski pass. The "Chamonix Le Pass" is ideal for the areas of Les Grands Montets, Brévent-Flégère and the Col de Balme.
