Description

Many Alpine luxury ski chalets can boast a good location, but few can match the stunning aspect and amazing views from Chalet La Vigne, built into a mountainside above Verbier. Sleeping up to ten people in four rooms, La Vigne offers its guests superlative facilities, including an indoor pool and a fantastic spa, in one of the Swiss Alps’ most vibrant resorts. This 365 square-metre property really makes the most of its footprint and its position with windows and balconies bringing the mountains inside and putting you close to the mountains.

A hot tub is the perfect finishing touch. This world-class luxury holiday chalet has been beautifully designed to offer guests an extraordinary experience in extraordinary surroundings with south-facing windows and balconies providing jaw-dropping views of one of the world’s great panoramas. The entrance through your private garage is on the first floor, taking guests straight into the open-plan living and dining area. Soaring ceilings and huge expanses of glass set the tone.

While the view is a star attraction, this room is also eye-catching, with classic Alpine design – wooden boards and beams, a big stone fireplace – underlying a relaxed and laid-back design aesthetic that runs through the chalet. You’ll find yourself drawn to the exterior though, and a large balcony allows you to gaze down at the lights of Verbier, or up to the Alps and the stars beyond. Underneath you is the entertainment floor of this cleverly put together building. There you’ll find a spa worthy of the Champs Elysees, with a hammam, a large indoor pool, and a gym.

Again, glass, in the shape of huge windows, puts Chalet La Vigne's extraordinary location front and center with beautiful Alpine views on your morning swim. Open the French windows to step outside onto a terrace where the hot tub awaits to complete this high-altitude ultra-luxe spa experience. A quick browse of your private wine cellar should find just the bottle you need to take with you into the large private cinema room. Above the living area is the main sleeping floor. Here there are two twin/double bedrooms, both with en-suite shower rooms and access to terraces.

There’s also a four-bunk room (with en-suite shower room) that helps make this an excellent family property (though the bunks are easily big enough to accommodate adults). All the bedrooms are incredibly welcoming and comfortable and echo the understated and tasteful design feel that helps give Chalet La Vigne such a cohesive feel. The best linens will help you enjoy a wonderful night’s sleep before superb luxury bathroom products help start your day in the best way. This first floor is also the ski/in entrance, with a sizeable boot room to welcome you to the chalet.

The superb master bedroom occupies the top floor. It has its own balcony – with perhaps some of the best views in the whole resort - an en-suite bathroom with a huge separate shower and his-and-her sinks. The best hi-tech entertainment systems are on tap wherever you go. There is WiFi throughout with Apple TV on screens, and the cinema room runs an Epson projector, while Bowers & Wilkins integrated sound systems provide a soundtrack to dancing in the living room or romance in your own room.

LUXURY SKI HOLIDAYS IN VERBIER

The famous alpine resort of Verbier is a year-round destination offering a wealth of activities for families, couples, and groups. One of Switzerland’s most prestigious mountain resorts, Verbier is renowned for its world-class skiing, luxury chalets, and vibrant après-ski scene. Located in the canton of Valais in southwestern Switzerland, Verbier forms part of the expansive 4 Vallées ski area, linking with Nendaz, Veysonnaz, La Tzoumaz, and Thyon. Set at 1,500 metres altitude, the resort offers panoramic views of the Mont Blanc and Grand Combin massifs.

In winter, visitors enjoy dog sledding, paragliding, and ice skating on the open-air rink, while Verbier’s public wellness centres and spas provide the perfect place to relax after skiing. Our handpicked portfolio includes luxury ski chalets and apartments in Verbier, including prime residences in the Place Blanche development - ideal for those wanting to be near the resort’s top restaurants, designer boutiques, and nightlife.

During summer, Verbier transforms into a playground for outdoor enthusiasts. Mountain biking, hiking, rock climbing, golf, and tennis make it a popular choice for a summer holiday in the Swiss Alps. The resort also hosts world-class cultural events such as the Verbier Festival, an internationally acclaimed classical music celebration held every July at altitude. Whether you seek adventure, culture, or relaxation, luxury holidays in Verbier offer something for every traveller.

SKIING IN VERBIER

Located at 1,500 metres altitude, Verbier enjoys spectacular views across the Mont Blanc Massif and the snow-capped peaks of the Grand Combin range. The resort lies at the heart of Les 4 Vallées, one of Europe’s largest linked ski areas, with over 412 km of groomed pistes connecting Verbier with La Tzoumaz, Nendaz, Veysonnaz, and Thyon. This world-class domain caters to all levels - from gentle nursery slopes at Les Esserts for beginners, to exhilarating descents on Mont Fort (3,330m) for advanced skiers. Verbier is a true freeride mecca, attracting expert skiers with steep couloirs, challenging off-piste terrain, and marked itineraries like Tortin and Mt Gelé.

The main lift station at Médran whisks skiers to Les Ruinettes (2,200m) via a 6-seater gondola, with further connections to Attelas at 2,723m and beyond. Glacier skiing is possible in summer, and heli-skiing offers unforgettable drops at Trient, Petit Combin, Pigne d’Arolla, and Rosablanche. For low-visibility days, the tree-lined slopes of Bruson provide reliable snow and fewer crowds. Verbier’s dynamic ski scene also hosts major events such as the Xtreme Verbier, the finale of the Freeride World Tour, and the famous Patrouille des Glaciers ski touring race from Zermatt.

RESTAURANTS & BARS IN VERBIER

When it comes to dining Verbier offers a multitude of opportunities - from family places where you can eat pizza and pasta to gourmet Michelin-starred restaurants. Visitors shouldn't miss to make a reservation at Chez Dany, one of the few typical Alpine restaurants on the ski slopes in Verbier with probably the most beautiful sun terrace with a great view. At 1,722m altitude the perfect place for a lunch break or to end a day of skiing with local food and delicious Valais wines. A must-do of course is La Rouge with its two sun-drenched outdoor terraces. At an altitude of 1,550m directly between the two main lift stations, Médran and Savoleyres - at the foot of the Le Rouge run - this infamous venue has ski in/ski out links to the main ski domain plus 360-degree panoramic views from Col des Mines, to the Combins, the Dents du midi, the glacier du Trient and Pierre Avoi.

An absolute hot spot for après-ski! We also recommend booking a table at La Table d’Adrien restaurant - in winter and summer - presents a gastronomic offer inspired by the mountain environment and the proximity of lakes and rivers between Valais, Italy and France. At La Cordée restaurant, guests can enjoy refined, globally inspired cuisine - dishes that are both elegant and inventive, blending flavours from around the world. Also worth visiting are W Kitchen and, unique in Verbier, Eat-Hola Tapas Bar in the village centre on Rue de Médran.

THINGS TO DO IN VERBIER

Verbier offers much more than just skiing, making it an exciting destination year-round. Winter activities include snowshoeing, tobogganing, paragliding, and dog sled rides - perfect for families and adventure seekers alike. Ice climbing on frozen waterfalls provides a unique challenge for thrill-seekers, while cultural experiences such as cheese-making workshops and local farm visits offer a taste of Swiss traditions.

The vibrant event calendar keeps the resort lively with celebrations like New Year’s Eve, the Polaris electronic music festival, and the annual Verbier Art Summit. One of the winter season’s biggest highlights is the Xtreme Verbier, the Freeride World Tour finale on the legendary Bec des Rosses. In summer, the world-renowned Verbier Festival brings classical music performances into spectacular alpine settings, attracting visitors from all over the globe.
