RESTAURANTS & BARS

There is a good selection of culinary options. Italian restaurants for families who love pizza and pasta, restaurants with South Tyrolean specialities and a variety of delicious dishes, through to fine dining. Italy always touches all senses and especially when it comes to food and good wine. We recommend 3 restaurants for those who are looking for artfully presented cuisine creations and unparalleled dishes.

The Suinsom restaurant (Ladin for "on the summit") is located above the road that leads through Selva Val Gardena. The two charming 18th century-style „Stuben“ play host to romantic dinners. The cuisine is refined and creative with regional products, but also from Italy and other parts of the world, so that guests can enjoy dishes with more than just Alpine flavours. The wine list offers a selection of carefully chosen premium wines.

The Michelin-starred Alpenroyal Gourmet Restaurant is one of the most luxurious addresses in Selva Val Gardena. The elegant, modern restaurant has an almost minimalist feel, with a softly lit ambience that would give the impression of a private home were it not for the huge garden (snow-covered in winter) that can be spotted through its windows. Chef Mario Porcelli, who comes from Puglia, has been working in the Dolomites for many years and has mastered the local cuisine just as well as the recipes of his home region. In both cases, his dishes are modern and sophisticatedly presented. Nothing is left to chance here.

Located in the boutique hotel "Nives", the Alpine Restaurant Nives focuses on South Tyrolean specialities, various fish dishes, which are almost always on the menu, as well as extensive meat plates for sharing, served on a hot stone. Rounding off the culinary delights is an interesting wine list.

Treat yourself to a break between skiing, with 65 cozy mountain huts across the ski area, there is no shortage for an indulgent alpine lunch. Enjoy the sunny terraces with a local pear grappa or refreshing cocktail and traditional Italian cuisine during your skiing day.

Val Gardena’s best Après-ski: Bar & Bistro "La Stua" in Selva with an impressive Champagne list. Very trendy spot with live music. Perfect for lunch and dinner. "Luislkeller" in Selva. Party spot. The "Kronestube" on the ground floor is less crowded and quieter.

If you are looking for those legendary vistas that Val Gardena is famed for, the Seceda Mountain is a must. Enjoy spectacular views of the impressive Geisler mountains and capture your ski holiday experiences by taking picture perfect images. From the top of the Seceda, the most popular photo spot throughout Val Gardena, the views of the Odler Group are nothing short of breathtaking.
