Description

The luxury chalet Yeti can accommodate up to 10 guests, in five individually designed bedrooms. The chalet is a fabulous holiday retreat for a large family or group of friends. Great location, Face de Bellevarde piste only 50m and the centre within 3 min driving distance, on the edge of the forest above Val d'Isère in the hamlet of Les Carats.

The chalet offers stunning views of the mountains across the valley. Chalet Yeti encompasses everything you would want from a luxury chalet, coupled with the exceptional service and some of the worlds best skiing on your doorstep. You enter the chalet on the first floor, where the bright and spacious living area is located. The double-height ceilings and large bay windows create a wonderful impression and provide stunning views. Complete with a bar area and a TV snug and with walls in stunning rustic dark wood, this is an ideal space for entertaining.

A beautiful open fireplace provides the perfect ambience for cosy evenings with friends and the family. Adjacent is a beautiful dining area seating 8 and a semi-open kitchen, where adults can enjoy sophisticated dinners while the children curl up in front of their favourite movie. There is also a guest WC on this floor. The entire holiday chalet is a charming blend of classic Alpine architecture and features, tastefully combined with contemporary furnishings. The huge wrap-around terrace accessible from the living area offers magnificent views and is surrounded by tall pine trees, giving the feel of a truly secluded location, which looks truly magical when covered in snow.

The second floor of the chalet is comprised of three cosy and tastefully decorated bedrooms. The first is a double bedroom with en-suite shower room and balcony access. The further two bedrooms are one double and one double/twin, which share a bathroom, with a large corner bathtub. This double has a TV, and it shares a balcony with the twin room. This floor also boasts a lovely additional living area with its own fireplace, the perfect spot to put your feet up with your favourite book. Accessible from here is a further guest WC/shower room.

Occupying the top floor is the spacious and elegant master suite, equipped with a fireplace, TV, dressing area and a spa bath with a view of the mountains in the en-suite - which also boasts a separate shower. There are three balconies, from where you can enjoy panoramic vistas and watch the snow falling.

The ground floor is home to the beautiful spa, complete with indoor swimming pool, a seating area, a hammam and a shower room. This is a haven for relaxation, with carved wood-panelled walls in keeping with the chalet’s authentic style, and a large arched window.

Down the corridor is the final double bedroom, with an en-suite bathroom, dressing area and an adjacent office. Also on this floor is the private laundry room, a ski room, and a garage which can accommodate two cars.

Infos/Activities

Our luxury ski chalets in Val d'Isère are available catered and self-catered, for the best luxury ski holidays ever. Some are Ski in/Ski out and many have swimming pools, sauna, hammam and hot tubs. Val d'Isère is located only five kilometres from Italy, on the border of the Vanoise National Park, created in 1963.

LUXURY SKI HOLIDAYS IN VAL D'ISERE

The ski resort Val d'Isère in the Savoie region of France, is a colourful winter sports haven that began as a farm community in the years B.C. The town received parish rights in 1637 and the parish church, which is still a landmark in the town centre, was built in 1664.

The charming village finds its 1,800 residents outnumbered 15 to one by guests in winter. The western and central areas of Val d'Isère are most recognizable by their "chalet" architecture, while in the eastern part of the town high-rise architecture dominates the landscape.

Along with nearby purpose-built Tignes the area forms part of the Espace Killy, the self-titled "Most Beautiful Ski Area in the World". Named for Olympic hero Jean-Claude Killy, who grew up in Val d'Isère, Val is the better-known part of the skiing region and one of the best ski destinations in the French Alps.

The Val d'Isère village is long and thin at the bottom of a deep V-shaped valley. As you approach the resort you pass by Lac du Chevril, under which the old town of Tignes (sunk in 1952) is found. You then enter Val d'Isère via La Daille where the Olympic downhill run finishes. This is a very popular way for skiers to leave the mountain on Val d'Isère holidays, as it is directly below the greatest après ski party in France at Folie Douce. The ski down at closing time is riotous but only recommended for strong intermediates and above. The Pissaillas Glacier offers summer skiing, as well as the usual winter fare.

SKIING IN VAL D'ISERE

The ski slopes themselves are equipped with a high-volume gondola, able to transport standing skiers, the funicular Funival from La Daille via a tunnel to the top of Bellevarde, traditional chair lifts - some with windshields and many detachable, button/disc-pulls - and tow-ropes. There are both groomed slopes and backcountry (off-piste) skiing. The slopes' difficulty levels are particularly high. However, as in Tignes there are grand, easy  pistes as well. It is first class off-piste country for powder addicts and there are many good guides available.
