Description
Chalet Séquoia is a luxury ski holiday chalet in the renowned winter sports destination Val d'Isère. Due to its location on the outskirts of one of France’s most beloved mountain towns, ski enthusiasts will appreciate the fact of being close to the slopes while also having the option to immerse themselves in the vibrant atmosphere, charm and lively après-scene of the historic old town. This irresistible combination makes Chalet Séquoia an ideal choice for those looking to enjoy both the resort’s vibrant flair and the thrill of outstanding alpine adventures.
The four-floor design adds to the sense of luxury, providing various amenities and diverse facilities on different levels. The blend of alpine chic and old-school flair creates a cozy and inviting atmosphere. With its capacity to sleep between 8 and 11 guests in five sophisticated bedrooms, adorned with alpine charm, plush pillows, crisp sheets, and luxurious blankets, promising peaceful nights after a day on the slopes, skiing chalet Sequoia offers ample space for groups or families. Distributed over the ground and first floor, all bedrooms have their own bathroom and some even come with additional chaise lounges, small side tables and an extra desk.
Moving up, the wood-panelled top floor with its open-plan living area invites to mingle, with checkered or red comfy sofas by the unmissable fireplace, ultra-modern illumination in the form of ceiling lights and floor lamps and floor-to-ceiling windows to take in magical views of the Val d'Isère winter wonderland. This homely and welcoming level is nothing but perfect for unwinding after a day of skiing in the Espace Killy ski area.
The private terrace on this floor is a fantastic addition, and provides an intimate feel to enjoy an aperitif before dinner while savouring the stunning mountain scenery. The dining area, consisting of a round dining table and chairs reminiscent of the Art Noveau style, seems like the perfect place to indulge in the culinary delights of the region. The kitchen, where local and international gourmet delicacies are prepared by a private chef, is integrated into the large main living area and is fully equipped.
Winter holiday Chalet Séquoia's ground floor, a heavenly escape, is completely dedicated to well-being and relaxation. The indoor pool - which comes with counter current features - is excellent for a workout while enjoying a refreshing swim. After some laps guests can choose between a sauna session or the therapeutic benefits of the steam room to heal tired muscles after an exhilarating day outdoors in the powder. Last but not least, Chalet Séquoia of course has a massage cabin for additional pampering and to reduce stress during a professional massage.
The lower ground floor entrance is particularly convenient, offering direct access to the chalet without having to go outside. This floor is home to a private cinema room, designed to offer unique and visually appealing entertainment options for children and adults alike. Imagine sinking into comfortable sofas while surrounded by a large screen and quality sound. It's the perfect setting to spend wonderful evenings surrounded by friends or loved ones.
Additionally, the office space on the lower ground floor can be useful for those who need to work even during their holiday. And the presence of a laundry room suggests that guests can take care of their laundry needs within the chalet. Access to all floors by internal lift, the ski room and parking facilities are a further bonus to the overall convenience.
Summing up, family chalet Séquoia offers a combination of comfort, luxury and ease, making it a wonderful venue for those looking for a memorable ski holiday in Val d'Isère and the wider Espace Killy skiing terrain.
The La Mourra complex consists of four more private chalets - Chalet Chêne, Chalet Ebène, Chalet Ambre and Chalet La Grange. All chalets are connected via underground and can be rented separately or combined.

LUXURY SKI HOLIDAYS IN VAL D'ISERE
The ski resort Val d'Isère in the Savoie region of France, is a colourful winter sports haven that began as a farm community in the years B.C. The town received parish rights in 1637 and the parish church, which is still a landmark in the town centre, was built in 1664.
The charming village finds its 1,800 residents outnumbered 15 to one by guests in winter. The western and central areas of Val d'Isère are most recognizable by their "chalet" architecture, while in the eastern part of the town high-rise architecture dominates the landscape.
Along with nearby purpose-built Tignes the area forms part of the Espace Killy, the self-titled "Most Beautiful Ski Area in the World". Named for Olympic hero Jean-Claude Killy, who grew up in Val d'Isère, Val is the better-known part of the skiing region and one of the best ski destinations in the French Alps.
The Val d'Isère village is long and thin at the bottom of a deep V-shaped valley. As you approach the resort you pass by Lac du Chevril, under which the old town of Tignes (sunk in 1952) is found. You then enter Val d'Isère via La Daille where the Olympic downhill run finishes. This is a very popular way for skiers to leave the mountain on Val d'Isère holidays, as it is directly below the greatest après ski party in France at Folie Douce. The ski down at closing time is riotous but only recommended for strong intermediates and above. The Pissaillas Glacier offers summer skiing, as well as the usual winter fare.
SKIING IN VAL D'ISERE
The ski slopes themselves are equipped with a high-volume gondola, able to transport standing skiers, the funicular Funival from La Daille via a tunnel to the top of Bellevarde, traditional chair lifts - some with windshields and many detachable, button/disc-pulls - and tow-ropes. There are both groomed slopes and backcountry (off-piste) skiing. The slopes' difficulty levels are particularly high. However, as in Tignes there are grand, easy pistes as well. It is first class off-piste country for powder addicts and there are many good guides available.
