Sleeping up to 12 guests, in five individually designed bedrooms, this stand-alone chalet has been newly renovated by internationally renowned interior designers, Turner Pocock. Chalet Abade is a fabulous luxury winter retreat for a large family or group of friends looking to relax and indulge in sophisticated surroundings. Set over three floors, this gorgeous alpine home is brand-new to Val d’Isère for the winter 2021/22 season.

Perfectly positioned in a ski in/ski out location, with the piste leading to the Olympique and Solaise lifts right next to the chalet. The village centre is also only a 5-minute drive from the chalet and the main lift station hub of Val d’Isère is a 1-minute ski from the property. All combine to make Chalet Abade ideally situated for exploring Val d'Isère both on and off the slopes.

The entrance to the chalet is on the ground floor where you will find the ski and boot room, complete with heated boot warmers to ensure your ski boots are toasty and warm for a day on the slopes. On this floor, you will find three of the five bedrooms. There are two twin/double bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms. The third bedroom is a spacious quad bunk bedroom with en-suite bathroom. Also found on this floor is the chalet’s Hamman, rain shower and massage room, where you can relax and unwind after a long day on the slopes. The laundry room is on this floor too.

The first floor is dedicated to entertaining. The stunning living area, with double height ceiling, exposed beams, grand fireplace and striking chandelier giving real wow factor. Two sumptuous sofas sit back-to-back; one side allowing you to hunker down in front of the roaring fire and the other giving you the option to play board games with the family. The room is flooded with light from the double height windows, framing the impressive views of the adjacent piste and mountains beyond. The views of the piste can be enjoyed from the balcony with your morning coffee or a glass of something sparkling after an exciting day on the slopes.

The dining area is set off the living area and is a beautiful setting for dinners with friends and family. The open fireplace elevates the elegant dining room further. The state of the art kitchen is situated off the dining room and has access to second balcony on this floor. This spacious south-facing balcony comes complete with large table and chairs, perfect for long lunches in the sun. The outdoor tub is also found on this balcony, where you can revive tired limbs after a day on the slopes and soak up the views of the famous “La Face”. A cosy cinema room is set off the hallway, perfect for family movie nights. The chalet is equipped with the latest technology including high speed fibre optic WiFi, NetFlix, Apple TV and Sonos sound system. There is also a guest WC on this floor.

The staircase leads up to the top floor where you will find the two-impressive master double bedroom suites. The first master bedroom with en-suite bathroom and separate shower, has a private balcony with views of La Face. The second master suite comes with en-suite bathroom and separate shower. Infos/Activities

Our luxury ski chalets in Val d'Isère are available catered and self-catered, for the best luxury ski holidays ever. Some are Ski in/Ski out and many have swimming pools, sauna, hammam and hot tubs. Val d'Isère is located only five kilometres from Italy, on the border of the Vanoise National Park, created in 1963.

LUXURY SKI HOLIDAYS IN VAL D'ISERE

The ski resort Val d'Isère in the Savoie region of France, is a colourful winter sports haven that began as a farm community in the years B.C. The town received parish rights in 1637 and the parish church, which is still a landmark in the town centre, was built in 1664.

The charming village finds its 1,800 residents outnumbered 15 to one by guests in winter. The western and central areas of Val d'Isère are most recognizable by their "chalet" architecture, while in the eastern part of the town high-rise architecture dominates the landscape.

Along with nearby purpose-built Tignes the area forms part of the Espace Killy, the self-titled "Most Beautiful Ski Area in the World". Named for Olympic hero Jean-Claude Killy, who grew up in Val d'Isère, Val is the better-known part of the skiing region and one of the best ski destinations in the French Alps.

The Val d'Isère village is long and thin at the bottom of a deep V-shaped valley. As you approach the resort you pass by Lac du Chevril, under which the old town of Tignes (sunk in 1952) is found. You then enter Val d'Isère via La Daille where the Olympic downhill run finishes. This is a very popular way for skiers to leave the mountain on Val d'Isère holidays, as it is directly below the greatest après ski party in France at Folie Douce. The ski down at closing time is riotous but only recommended for strong intermediates and above. The Pissaillas Glacier offers summer skiing, as well as the usual winter fare.

SKIING IN VAL D'ISERE

The ski slopes themselves are equipped with a high-volume gondola, able to transport standing skiers, the funicular Funival from La Daille via a tunnel to the top of Bellevarde, traditional chair lifts - some with windshields and many detachable, button/disc-pulls - and tow-ropes. There are both groomed slopes and backcountry (off-piste) skiing. The slopes' difficulty levels are particularly high. However, as in Tignes there are grand, easy  pistes as well. It is first class off-piste country for powder addicts and there are many good guides available.
