Description

Chalet Jejalp is a luxury ski chalet in Morzine, a family-friendly resort enjoying access to the 300 pistes of the Portes du Soleil ski area that straddles the French/Swiss border. The most eye-catching feature of this beautiful chalet is the two-story, glass-walled wine cellar that runs through the centre of the chalet. It reflects the imaginative design mixed with classic Alpine style and use of space and light that are the guiding principles of Chalet Jejalp. There is sleeping accommodation for 14 guests (10 adults and four children) in luxurious, wood-walled and floored rooms. The beautiful master suite occupies the top floor. A family suite consists of a double room with a four-bunk room and bathroom.

Three double/twin en-suite rooms complete the sleeping accommodation. Guests are spoiled for places to sit back and enjoy these wonderful surroundings. The open fireplace dominates the main, top-floor living room. A fully stocked (and unlimited) bar, with its own pool table, is perfectly placed for users of the home cinema to enjoy, or can be closed off as a private space. You’ll dine on a beautiful big wooden dining table, served from the neighbouring open kitchen by your own chef. The terrace and wonderful mountain views beyond will be the backdrop to your meals.

For recovery from or preparation for the slopes, a complete mini glass-walled spa complex is sited on the first floor. A sunken Jacuzzi and a sauna can both be enjoyed while looking out over the valley below. There’s a gym on the ground floor, alongside a big, practical boot room. To help you get the most out of your stay in this beautiful property, a chalet team will provide every service and all the advice you need. Your manager and host are always on hand, while dining and driving are provided by your own chef and chauffeur. New for 2019: second outdoor large sunken hot tub complete with relaxation area and outdoor fire pit.

Chalet Jejalp is designed for the ultimate Alpine luxury experience.

Infos/Activities

Morzine is set high in the valley of the River Dranse at an altitude of 1,000m in the Northern Alps. A beautiful Alpine village, Morzine has a bustling centre and is packed with great facilities. With fabulous restaurants and bars, a weekly market, ice rink, swimming pool and ski joering - all perfect for keeping the whole family entertained.

The skiing resort Morzine can be found between Lake Leman and Mont Blanc. Part of the vast Les Portes du Soleil ski area pittoresque Morzine has kept its 11th century Savoyard look where you will find traditional wooden luxury ski chalets with slate roofs which makes you feel like you are in a real Alpine village rather than a large man-made ski resort. Previously ruled over by the Dukes of Savoie it is now part of the Haute Savoie region of France.

Most of the ski resorts in Les Portes du Soleil have grown around traditional valley villages - only Avoriaz and the very small Les Crosets and Torgon were purposely built during the mid-sixties. Morzine and Châtel are the largest of the traditional towns in the area. As a whole the skiing is relatively low in altitude compared to most French destinations.

The highest skiing is just below 2,500 metres and the lowest approximately 900 metres. However, the area is heavily influenced by the microclimate between Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc, which generates very substantial snowfall between November and April making it possible to keep the area open to skiing typically from early December until mid to late April. Some of the lower stations close around April 1 or earlier depending on snow conditions though.
