Chalet 46 / Morzine
Description
The luxury Chalet 46˚ in Morzine has been meticulously converted from a traditional French farmhouse into a stunning, luxurious modern chalet. Retaining many of the original features, the architects have blended sleek glass fixtures with modern amenities to create a contemporary alpine chalet that lends itself perfectly to entertaining and relaxing. Within five minutes walking distance to the centre of Morzine and nestled below the slopes of Pleney, Chalet 46˚ is perfect for both skiers and non skiers. Skiers can choose to put their skis on a mere five metres from the chalet and ski to the main Pleney gondola or be driven to a lift of their choice within the resort.
The chalet is set over three levels with the top floor offering a large open plan lounge with dining area and kitchen. From the large seating area with wood-burning stove you can enjoy uninterrupted views of the Pointe de Nyon and the Pleney slopes. This floor provides an impressive entertaining and dining area where you will be catered to by your hosts and chef or you can pour yourself a beer from the integrated beer tap in the bar area. Due to its elevated position, guests can appreciate impressive views of the Pleney and Nyon slopes from both the living room and the outdoor balcony.
The middle level comprises of five spacious en-suite bedrooms offering the upmost comfort with luxurious mattresses, Egyptian cotton linen and DVD players. In each bathroom you will find The White Company© luxury toiletries, professional standard hairdryers and hair straighteners. Soft robes, slippers and fluffy towels are also provided. This level has a further seating area which gives direct access to the south-facing garden and large outdoor deck. The outdoor deck has been designed with the ultimate entertaining experience in mind and is a truly unique feature in Morzine.
Guests can enjoy the sunny aspect throughout the day and evening from the large hot tub, with a cold drink in hand from the outdoor bar. Sun loungers and a hammock provide the perfect lounging experience whilst the bespoke fire pit and surrounding sofas mean you can enjoy the mountain stars and crisp evenings well into the night. Outdoor dining can be experienced in the winter and summer with the choice of a barbecue or stone baked pizza from the pizza oven served by your chef at the large outdoor dining table.
Chalet 46˚ can be conveniently paired with Apartment 6˚, an independent property located below the chalet. Apartment 6˚ is available for rent either as an addition to Chalet 46˚ for catered ski holidays during the winter season, accommodating up to 20 guests in total, or as a stand-alone self-catered apartment.

Infos/Activities
Morzine is set high in the valley of the River Dranse at an altitude of 1,000m in the Northern Alps. A beautiful Alpine village, Morzine has a bustling centre and is packed with great facilities. With fabulous restaurants and bars, a weekly market, ice rink, swimming pool and ski joering - all perfect for keeping the whole family entertained.
The skiing resort Morzine can be found between Lake Leman and Mont Blanc. Part of the vast Les Portes du Soleil ski area pittoresque Morzine has kept its 11th century Savoyard look where you will find traditional wooden luxury ski chalets with slate roofs which makes you feel like you are in a real Alpine village rather than a large man-made ski resort. Previously ruled over by the Dukes of Savoie it is now part of the Haute Savoie region of France.

Most of the ski resorts in Les Portes du Soleil have grown around traditional valley villages - only Avoriaz and the very small Les Crosets and Torgon were purposely built during the mid-sixties. Morzine and Châtel are the largest of the traditional towns in the area. As a whole the skiing is relatively low in altitude compared to most French destinations.
The highest skiing is just below 2,500 metres and the lowest approximately 900 metres. However, the area is heavily influenced by the microclimate between Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc, which generates very substantial snowfall between November and April making it possible to keep the area open to skiing typically from early December until mid to late April. Some of the lower stations close around April 1 or earlier depending on snow conditions though.
