SKIING IN MERIBEL
The area of Méribel/Brides-les-Bains has 15 bubble lifts, along with 13 gondolas, 17 chairlifts, 8 drag lifts, 8 childrens lifts and 7 magic carpets. 150km of pistes (7 green runs, 26 blues, 26 reds, 8 black) and 28km of itinaries, 2 olympique runs, 2 slalom stadiums, 2 snowboard and ski parks. Méribel has 685 snowmachines (covering 42% of the area) allowing them to add snow cover if necessary.
There are plenty of blues and easy reds for the intermediate skier - from the nervous to the more skilled. As for advanced skiers with 600km of runs in the Three Valleys there is plenty to keep you busy: from the beautiful Mont Vallon at the end of the Méribel valley to the far side of Val Thorens and down into the fourth valley of Orelle with numerous black runs with bumps, some without. The "couloirs" are accessible from the Saulire lift on the Courchevel side.
