Luxury Ski Chalets Fügen
With Spa
The small village of Fügen can actually boast two ski areas. Fügen/Spieljoch are connected areas within the large Zillertal valley arena. The resorts are particularly fun for families. Fügen is one of the oldest settlements in the Ziller valley - in an easily accessible position, miners looked for mineral deposits in the mountains while farmers used the valley floor and the gentle slopes around the area for their cattle and crops. Nowadays, of course, visitors to the village are a major source of income.
Tourism in the Ziller valley was initially based on the summer months and the idea of the curative power of the mountain air. The winter season started in earnest in the 1960s with the opening of the Hochfügen area and a decade later with the building of the Spieljoch lifts. However, it wasn't until the 1980s that the winter season became more important to the village.
The ski area reached directly from Fügen is the Spieljoch, with the gondola rising out of the upper part of the village. The world of the Alps is so beautiful and gorgeous and anybody who had ever been here will come back again willingly. For all who are interesting in skiing-sports is Fügen the right place for holiday and as a real ski resort is Fügen a location for ski runs, ski touring or snowboarding and many more. All the dressings you need for several kind of winter sports like ski boots, ski suits or ski hire you will find locally in some sport-shops.
Nice and friendly restaurants, some bars and discotheks too, will make your holidays perfect and unforgettable. Fügen in the Zillertal Valley boasts ideal pistes for beginners, families and cruisers. The bottom of the Spieljochbahn cable car is located in the centre of Fügen and whisks wintersports enthusiasts up onto the slopes high above the Zillertal Valley in just a matter of minutes. Don't miss to visit the Erlebnistherme Zillertal in Fügen. There are open-air swimming pools and lakes for swimming in the area, the Zillertal golf course, an 18-hold championship course, the Zillertal Adventure Park and a indoor climbing center. Hochfügen-Hochzillertal and Spieljoch offer about 100km of ski slopes featuring 47 lift facilities. Cross-country skiing trails, cleared winter hiking trails, toboggan runs and ice rinks are waiting for our guests away from the ski slopes.
Tirol is a true paradise during the summer month and there are plenty of outdoor activities, such as hiking, mountainbiking and rock climbing, whitewater rafting, kayaking, walking, relaxing bike rides along the valley floor, paragliding high up in the skies. Visitors will find a rich history in the towns and small villages.
