Gym
A fully equipped gym secluded in the gardens near the swimming pool, beckons the energetic to experience Ellerman House's fitness facilities. With its state of the art equipment, sauna and change rooms, the gym overlooks the Atlantic Ocean.

The large heated swimming pool is set amid unrivalled lawned terraces with tell palm trees and provides one of the most perfect and unique vantage points imaginable. The sweeping views from Bantry Bay across the Atlantic Ocean to Robben Island are unsurpassed and characterize Ellerman House as one of the great luxury hotels in Southern Africa.
Bar Roc: guests can savour a drink surrounded by Table Mountain granite blending with skilled stone masonry, sumptuous leather and rich woods. Boasting four fully stocked cellars of South African vintage wines, guests can select from over 17,000 bottles.
The stately library has a collection of old, rare and new volumes from the Owners’ own library collections. Computing equipment is provided to download emails and for internet usage.Several infinity pools are to be found on the property, with views that stretch out across the Atlantic seaboard forever.
Ellerman House has eleven rooms, each decorated individually but with the air of a family home,and with all modern conveniences such as under-floor heating, air conditioning, satellit television,heated towel rails, luxurious toiletries, internet connections and other technological treats, which allow guests to indulge in sheer relaxation.
Room One was originally Lady Ellerman’s sea facing and spacious bedroom. Freshly decorated in shades of green and cream it offers broad vistas of the Atlantic Ocean. The deck loungers on the spacious balcony are decorated in fern green and white to complement the room décor.
Room Two is sea-facing and offers wonderful ocean views from the bed. It is finished in subtle tones of aqua, beige and oyster. Along with a spacious marble bathroom, the balcony is large enough to enjoy wonderful al fresco dinners.
Room Three, the bijou room in vanilla and biscuit coloured fabrics. The bay window provides an excellent view of the rocky coastline below. The en-suite bathroom is in tones of salmon and cream marble.
Room Four, a generously proportioned ocean-facing room that opens out through two sets of double doors onto Ellerman House’s largest private patio is ideal for honeymooners. Appointed in shades of turquoise and beige, it has a dramatic black slate bathroom with a circular window to frame the sea.
Room Five offers ample interior space and soothing views of the natural rock water garden.Neatly decorated in aquamarine, touches of beige and white, it has a cream marble bathroom and a secluded balcony.
Room Six is at the back of the House and has no sea view. It is elegantly finished in olive tones with a bathroom finished in grey and salmon marble.
Room Seven - The Ellerman Suite, originally Lady Ellerman’s art studio. The bedroom and dressing room is separate to a sitting room and study. The lengthy balcony offers expansive and sweeping views of the city and ocean from its elevated position in the eaves of the hotel. The sitting area is contemporary, with art and sculpture by leading South African artists. The bedroom in soothing celadon green tones adjoins a white marble bathroom.
Room Eight offers shaded views of the garden and ocean. Appointed in creamy beige with hints of black, it has an intimate private balcony and marble bathroom reflecting the cool and calm décor.
Room Nine has a balcony providing panoramic views of the ocean and the landscaped gardens.This gentle split leveled room is decorated in rich creams and gilded tones, it has a marble bathroom in whites and creams.
Room Ten is a spacious split-level room including a bedroom, seating area and balcony all with commanding views of the ocean, garden and pool. The room is toned in refreshing greens, cream and coral and the bathroom is in striking green and black slate.
Room Eleven - The East Wing Suite is distinguished by a large wraparound balcony with private access to the garden and pool. Decorated in rich creams and silvery blue tones, it comprises a raised bedroom, elegant seating area and dining table that seats eight. The bathroom is in cream marble with brass Victorian appointments.
