Ibiza’s very best nightlife
Published on 28/05/2016 by Finest Holidays - Luxury Travel
Luxury’s a word that works well in Ibiza, Europe’s party island. There are luxury villas wherever you look; luxury beach clubs dot the coast; luxurious, Michelin-starred restaurants will serve you the world’s best cuisine at night, even the people are luxurious.
The nightclubs on the White Isle do luxury and opulence very well too, there’s a steady stream of world-famous celebrities and the rich, powerful and more private to entertain after all. With an eclectic mix that takes in everything from full-on clubbing to sexy cabaret and relaxed dining, there’s something for everyone – budget allowing – on Ibiza.
Here is our pick – the Finest selection – of the island’s best luxury and VIP nightclubs.
Pacha Ibiza
Each new generation thinks they’re discovering Ibiza for the first time, but the island has a long history of entertaining wild children and pleasure seekers. Pacha is a well-established part of that history. Dating back to 1973 it is the oldest club on the island.
From its first club in Sitges near Barcelona (Ibiza was the second), Pacha has expanded to become a world brand in luxury clubbing with establishments everywhere from Buenos Aires to Macao, hotels, restaurants and clothes and accessories lines.
The five-room Ibiza club holds 3,000 people, making it small for a super club. But it’s all about the luxury at Pacha, with its massive VIP table section. Even with all that space, Pacha’s best tables are booked weeks in advance, so talk to your concierge or luxury holiday planner if you’d like to add it to your itinerary.
It’s an incredibly stylish place filled with incredibly stylish people, and this summer they’ll be enjoying the likes of F**K Me I’m Famous with David Guetta, Insane with John Digweed and Pete Tong, and Steve Aoki’s Aoki’s Playhouse.
La Belle Ibiza
La Belle Ibiza is a restaurant, but – this being Ibiza – finds room for beach club and laid back clubbing, all done with a very special ambience that’s unique to this special island. It’s already been attracting the beautiful people of the White Isle since its opening at the beginning of June.
In Saint Rafael, a little way from the beach, La Belle Ibiza styles itself as “boho chic” with “simplicity and authenticity” at its heart – its motto is simply, “enjoy life”.
To help you enjoy life, Gilles Escaffre is in charge of the kitchens, bringing Michelin honors and a stellar line-up of French kitchens (Alain Ducasse, Ferran Adria, Joel Robuchon) on his resume. He’s behind a menu of French, Mediterranean and North African dishes and there’s also a summer Sunday barbecue.
The cocktails are inventive and will no doubt help diners relax and enjoy the likes of Miguel Garji and Cristian Varela this summer. A kids’ corner makes La Belle Ibiza an exciting new venue that families can enjoy. Finest Holidays offers the most beautiful villas close to this new restaurant.
Fay at Cotton Beach Club
Fay has been receiving rave reviews since it opened for summer 2015. “Ibiza doesn’t get much better than this,” said the UK’s “Daily Telegraph Luxury”.
Perched atop the roof at the year-old favorite, Cotton Beach Club, Fay looks splendid with its pristine white finishes.
The food is Asian inspired, including fantastic sushi, and the atmosphere has a touch of Zen to it too.
Fay is already a hit and it’s barely opened. With a fabulous beach club downstairs and relaxed house music at night, Cotton Club and Fay can make for a perfect Ibiza day all the way to sunset.
Patchwork and Ginger
Ginger is a new addition to the popular Sa Punta operation, close to Ibiza town on Talamanca Bay. Patchwork was opened last year, a rooftop Lebanese restaurant that makes the most of a wonderful location.
Sa Punta already has a stellar reputation. It’s stylish and confident and provides an effortless good time for its guests. Fantastic service from wonderful staff keeps visitors coming back.
They’ve set Ginger amid the pines above the beautiful bay. There’s a new atmosphere in this outside eatery too. It’s resolutely and seriously fun and frivolous! The décor is bright and eclectic with plenty to point smartphone cameras at.
Dining at Ginger is Asian, with sharing plates of delicious – themed into Fresh and Raw, Crispy, Dumplings, and Hot menus – Chinese, Japanese, Thai and Vietnamese delicacies that are perfect for enjoying in the Mediterranean sunshine. In the evenings, the Mediterranean vibe takes over with some seriously glamourous guests enjoying top-notch cocktails and a splendid setting.
With two wonderful menus, these two restaurants have much to recommend them, and you’ll stay for more than the food.
Lio
Lio has been open for two years and has made a huge impression in that short time. This exciting restaurant and cabaret venue is the work of the people behind Pacha, so has quite a pedigree.
The idea was to take the evening-long dinners that the Spanish love so much and give them that special Ibiza magic. The whole place and the whole experience is a show, don’t be surprised if your servers start serenading you.
And the stage is world-class, with incredible views over the nearby Marina and incredibly glamourous, sexy interiors including a massive water feature that transforms into a stage for a cabaret performance that Paris would be proud of.
The whole place transforms as the night wears on, the food is forgotten and dancing and music take the party into the long Ibizan night. Music comes from the likes of Ibiza legend Sebastian Gamboa, but special guests have already upped the stardust quota – Seal performed for diners earlier this summer.
Lio is a very special experience that will give you memories that will last a lifetime, it should certainly be on your Ibiza itinerary.
